Finally, “I Do”

When I met Ren and Ana for the first time, I saw a young, happy, Chinese couple that was excited to plan for their wedding and proceed to their life together. Little did I know, that they have been together for the longest time and that they already have a 7-year-old daughter, that the wedding they were planning then, has been a dream for both of them.

It wasn’t difficult to work with Ren and Ana, because they we’re sure of every detail that they wanted to do in their wedding. Especially Ana, who was all hands-on with the preparation, from the program lay-out to the music, and everything else! Obsessive compulsive as she may have been, but perfect - for Ren is usually out of the country.

It was a perfect Saturday for a wedding, not too hot and not rainy at all. Ana’s preparing in her suite with her parents and Breanna Louise (their daughter). She was blooming even if she was still in her robe as make-up artist Ian Lipa re-touches her do, for her photo shoot with Photographs and Memories team. In a bit, she was all dressed in white by Zandra Lim and awaiting our departure from the hotel, excited for she knows that her groom, awaits her at the Church.

On the other part of the hotel, there was Ren preparing and all excited for the day. He has been continuously joking around with the suppliers, talking to someone on his mobile phone (in Chinese, which by the way, we don’t understand), and smiling incessantly as he slipped into his Daniel Hechter suit.

The drive from Marriott Hotel to St. Jude Archdiocesan Shrine in Malacanang was ironically short as to what we have expected it to be for a Saturday, so in a very short while, the groom stood up at the end of the aisle as his bride walked slowly towards him. Family and friends were all-eyes to Ana, knowing that this moment has been her dream for all eternity.

Later that afternoon, a little rain poured over Manila rejoicing with the happiness of the newlywed but it did not stopped their guests to join them as they celebrate their union at Passion Restaurant, Maxims Hotel which offered an elegant and classy ambiance and to mention, the sumptuous Chinese delicacies that they have prepared. The program that was hosted by  Mr. Harvey Ong, was short and concise just like what the newlywed wanted it to be, short but very personal, light and a feel-good celebration.

It was one beautiful day for Ren and Ana, for their families and friends as finally, they vowed “I do” to forever. To be truly together, through thick and thin, in sickness and in health and in love, love, love.
